Male Veterinary Surgeon Treating Dog In SurgeryVeterinarian’s Needed

Veterinarians are an important part of the animal response team volunteer base.  The 8 CORE training courses, with the exception of Pet First Aid, are a standard requirement for deployable veteriarians, as well as the additional courses:  Zoonosis, Preparedness and Public Health and the Emergency Animal Sheltering Course.  If you have questions please contact Dr. Christen Skaer.

Several new courses have also been added to the Kansas Train website, a division of the Kansas Department of Emergency Management (KDEM).  These courses are being provided by the National Veterinary Response Team (NVRT).  The courses are listed below, while not currently a requirement for deployment as a animal response team volunteer veterinarian for the coalition of teams under the Kansas State Animal Response Team, these courses may be of interest and benefit to you.  To take classes through Kansas Train, you must set up an account within the training site.
