Dr. Neala Boyer, DVM, Clinical Assistant Professor, K-State College of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Boyer received her BS in Biology in 1997 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her DVM at the University of Missouri-College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  After completion of the DVM program, Dr. Boyer practiced companion animal practice in an AAHA practice in Bellevue, NE for 12 years prior to joining the faculty at the Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University.  As a clinical instructor for the 4th year veterinary students, she provides instruction to the students as they perform physical examinations, perform necessary testing, and discuss the disease processes and treatment options available for patients seen in the primary care practice.  Dr. Boyer has a strong desire to provide the tools she feels the students need for success in their future careers in veterinary medicine.  Dr. Boyer has strong interests in internal medicine, cardiology and dermatology and is perusing board certification from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline medicine and surgery.
