Dr. Jan Hinshaw

Dr. Jan Hinshaw graduated from Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After graduating, she began practicing at Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital in the Emergency Service. After extensive training, she has now instituted the Canine and Feline Rehabilitation Service of VESHW. This allows her to work one on one with her clients and patients to lessen pain and assist in recovery from surgery.

Dr. Hinshaw works with the local and state Animal Rescue Response teams during natural disasters by treating sick, injured and homeless animals. She is 1 of approximately 120 veterinarians throughout the country who has received national accreditation to assist in animal recovery and emergency medicine. This allows her to assist animals after a natural disaster any where in the world. In her spare time, she enjoys landscaping, baking and traveling with her husband of over 25 years.
