Why attend?

Learn how to prepare your
family for a disaster and
include your pet!

PETS are the #1 reason people
won’t evacuate during a disaster.
Would you leave your pet behind?
YOU, the Animal Response Teams
of Kansas and other disaster response
agencies have the power, the
knowledge, and the ability to
change that!

At the Kansas Animal Preparedness
Conference, you’ll gain the knowledge,
tools, and inspiration you need to
prepare your own family, encourage
others to prepare and  to support
disaster response efforts through
volunteering.  Together we can make a
difference for pets and people in our
own community and across Kansas!

Learn – Prepare – Connect

Hear from national animal response
leaders with resources, knowledge and
experience to help us build better
animal response practices in Kansas.

Meet with state and local disaster
response agencies who focus on human
services.  Talk with emergency
management, law enforcement and
fire/rescue personnel responsible for managing
the overall disaster response efforts.

These trained, dedicated and passionate
disaster response experts are coming
together  to raise public awareness in
Kansas.  So whether your interest lies
in learning  how to prepare your own
family and pet, your organization or
business is responsible for many pets in
your community and you don’t have a
disaster plan, or you have a desire to get
involved in animal disaster response,
this conference will provide you the
tools and connections you need to
implement lifesaving disaster tactics
